Itinerary

Day 01

Get to Sri Lanka and travel to Negombo. Because there are so many Catholic churches in this city it is known as Little Rome. Take a look at Jesus Christ's life as it is portrayed in murals at St. Mary's Church. On the first day of this trip check into the hotel and unwind.

Day 02

Explore Negombo and stop by the famous sites. Explore the city on foot and stop by the beach which is a fun and pleasant place to be. Following that travel to Sigiriya making a stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Sanctuary en route. Caretakers are providing care for injured and orphaned elephants in this sanctuary.

Day 03

Get to Sigiriya and register at the hotel. Climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress on the third day. The beautiful frescoes that adorn this fortress are breathtaking. The views of the surroundings are visible from the summit. Visit Polonnaruwa which is well-known for the numerous ruins strewn throughout it after lunch. Polonnaruwa served as Sri Lanka's second capital at one point. Visit the ancient ruins while on a tour of this city.

Day 04

Visit Anuradhapura, a city well-known for the Atamasthana on day four. See the famous temples that date back hundreds of years. Discover the history of the temples and ruins as you stroll around the city. In the afternoon return to Habarana and travel to Minneriya. For a glimpse of the herds of elephants that roam the valleys visit Minneriya National Park.

Day 05

Stop by the Dambulla Cave Temples on your way to Kandy. There you'll find numerous murals of Lord Buddha as well as Buddha statues in every nook and cranny. Visit Matale Spice Gardens. You can discover more about the cultural significance of the herbs and spices cultivated here. They have been valued for their culinary and therapeutic applications. After arriving in Kandy, unwind at your hotel.

Day 06

Visit Kandy City's Temple of the Tooth Relic. This is a prominent location in Kandy near Kandy Lake and the city centre. The priceless tooth relic of Lord Buddha is kept in this astounding building. Next, proceed to Peradeniya. Visitors can visit the Royal Botanical Gardens here. These gardens have a serene atmosphere in addition to their beautiful surroundings. Explore the city after leaving the gardens to find gems, wood carvings, silks and batiks, some of Sri Lanka's traditional crafts. Make it back to Kandy in time for a cultural performance.

Day 07

On the seventh day, travel to Nuwara Eliya. The city is known as Little England because of its cool climate which makes it well-liked by both residents and tourists. Explore the tea plantations and factories that produce Sri Lanka's renowned tea while on a tour of Nuwara Eliya. Proceed to Gregory Lake where you can take a boat trip to witness the breathtaking scenery.

Day 08

Go to Horton Plains in the morning. It's a beautiful reserve with amazing wildlife plants and animals. You may see small rabbits hopping around or elk grazing on the fields. To see the sights go to Nuwara Eliya in the afternoon.

Day 09

Travel to Ella by train from Nanu Oya. This enables you to witness some of the most audacious sights. View towns perched on the slopes of mountains where tall waterfalls cascade down. For the most picturesque views visit the Nine Arches Bridge and other attractions in this green city.

Day 10

On this tenth day as the sun rises proceed to Yala. The renowned Yala National Park, renowned for its abundant leopard population, is located in this southern city. Go on a jeep safari through the park to witness a range of wildlife primarily the leopards as they hunt and relax.

Day 11, 12 & 13

Explore Galle's magnificent Dutch Fort which is thought to be Asia's best-preserved sea fortress early in the morning. The island's oldest breadfruit tree can be found here. The Madu River Boat ride offers a close-up view of the wetland ecosystem. By going to the turtle hatchery you can contribute to the conservation of the declining number of turtles that visit Sri Lanka beaches to lay their eggs. You can make memories by taking your loved ones for a stroll along the sandy Galle beach. Your last day in Galle should include an exciting day of water sports in the Bentota River.

Day 14

Leave Sri Lanka by travelling to the airport from Galle.
