Explore the Legend of Ramayana as you explore spiritual locations that display the tale as old as time.

Day 01

After your journey, unwind in Negombo. Learn about the town's lively fishing scene and serene beaches.

Day 02

When in Chilaw, visit the Munneswaram and Mannarai Temples. While being known for their religious devotions, they are also architecturally magnificent. The capital city of Kandy, renowned for its vibrant culture is the next stop on your itinerary. Once you're there begin your city tour by visiting the busy local market and the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Day 03

Make sure to visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and Seetha Amman Kovil the two main Ramayana sites when you arrive in Nuwara Eliya. Savor the breathtaking scenery of this hill country which is renowned for its tea plantations and chilly climate.

Day 04

On the fourth day depart from Nuwara Eliya and make your way to Bandarawela, a charming hill city encircled by dense tea plantations and fuzzy mountains. In the Ramayana, Sita is said to have met Agni Pariksha at the location of Gayathri-Peedam, a tranquil Hindu shrine dedicated to the goddesses Gayathri and Divurumpola.

Day 05

After arriving in Ella on day five, explore the well-known Ravana Caves and Ravana Falls which may have Ramayana allusions. Explore Kataragama, a significant Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site and its sacred temple.

Day 06

Spend the late morning at the well-known temple of Lord Murugan. Consider the unique coastal area of Ussangoda which is thought to have been the landing spot for Hanuman during his search for Sita. Your full-day tour of the historically significant Rumassala Temple in Galle is completed by the Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo and the Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa.

Day 07

Come to Colombo on the last day of the journey. The beautiful architectural sites in Colombo are open for visits. Shop at malls, buy trinkets and sample some fusion food. After that proceed to the airport to depart.
